The Arctic Ocean design was adapted from the International Bathymetric Chart of the Arctic Ocean (IBCAO), a project involving scientists from institutions in eleven countries, who have collaborated to produce the most definitive map of Arctic Ocean Bathymetry. The Antarctic Ocean design was adapted from a South-Pole-Centric orthogonal projection of the Southern Hemisphere obtained from NOAA/NGDC.
